Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Automobiles, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they announced in a statement.
Police state they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.
The liquid had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.
Law enforcement then located multiple other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.
Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.
Police state initial examinations indicate the fluid was probably blood from a person.
"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; officials are presently not informed of any harm in association with the occurrence," they stated.
Municipal representatives said they were working "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the community for tips.
A senior political figure commented the vandalism rendered him stunned and needed to be resolved rapidly.
"This incident affects the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on social media, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a assailant aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
