19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player secured his first title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a torrid period, achieving just one win at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with former trainer Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is really nice," commented world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his ability to play at the elite level was finished.
Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He recovered from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent rescued four early break points in a close final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner earned the title with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to control a return after a lengthy match.
