Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
