La Petite Maison's Drink – How to Make It

WThis is a simplified version of a beverage from a new cocktail list. Designed as a large-volume pre-mixed that's loaded with the tastes of the Christmas time, which makes it excellent for hosting a festive gathering. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup for breakfast cocktails, desserts, or to make more rounds of bikinis.

Bikini Recipe

Yields 10 people

For the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

To make the Drink (produces 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Instructions

To prepare the Syrup: Combine every ingredients into a pan, bring to a light boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the stove allowing it to cool fully. Transfer into a sterilised bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for around four weeks.

Preparing the Premix: Pour the specified liquids in a sizeable container, let it rest for an hour, then pass it through preferably using a fine cloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.

When ready to serve: Add 85ml of the cocktail base into a stirring glass packed with ice, and agitate carefully for about 60 seconds to chill. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil over the drink.
